Tom Cavanagh and Carlos Valdes come out of the flash

The CW Flash loses two original actors, because Deadline reports that Tom Cavanagh and Carlos Valdes are leaving the series after the end of its seventh season.

According to the report, Valdes, who plays Cisco Roman, will end his run as a series regular in the current seventh season of the superhero drama. Cavanagh, who played Eobard Thawne / Reverse-Flash and Harrison Wells, was originally scheduled to finish his run in season six. Instead, the COVID-19 pandemic has hit and forced many shoes, including Flash, to shorten their season.

As a result, Cavanagh hasn’t been on the show since Season 7 Episode 3, titled “Mother.” Luckily for fans looking for a more permanent shutdown, FlashThe producers have confirmed that Cavanagh will appear on the show again at some point in season seven. However, there are no plans for Cavanagh to continue on the series beyond at this time.

“Tom and Carlos have been an integral part of our show for seven seasons and will be sorely missed,” Flash Executive producer / showrunner Eric Wallace said in a statement to Deadline. “Both are incredible talents who have created beloved characters that fans and audiences around the world have come to love. That is why we gladly keep the door open for returning apparitions.

The series stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen / The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramo, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West-Allen aka Speedster Hero XS, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton with Tom Cavanagh as Dr Harrison Wells and Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West.

Based on the characters of DC Comics, the series is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Todd Helbing.
