“Starfield is exclusive to Xbox and PC”, mentionned Jeff Grubb, Venture Beat reporter. “Period. I am confirming this. Previously, no console was announced, although some fans still hoped it would arrive on PlayStation consoles.
This isn’t shocking news since Microsoft bought Bethesda, but it is a major statement. Fall and Ancient scrolls have been very popular on PlayStation consoles, which means that Microsoft has a potential system vendor in Starfield. Microsoft has yet to release any next-gen exclusives, so expect the game to follow suit and run on a wide range of Xbox systems, from the low-end Xbox One to the Xbox Series X in top of the line.
Earlier today, images of a 2018 version leaked from the game. Obviously, a lot of improvements have been made since then and we’ll see them soon. The game has been talked about for years by Bethesda and is said to be the sci-fi equivalent of Skyrim. It was officially revealed in 2018 but hasn’t been seen much since.
