I don’t think it was necessarily “un-canceled,” mainly because it never really got canceled in the first place. He had a scandal in the press, and it gradually dissipated over time. I’m pretty sure he hasn’t lost a single job because of it.

Which makes sense – the folks who show up for his brand of old-fashioned action flick aren’t really concerned with the weekly gossip on Twitter.

And that’s not to say that what he said wasn’t strange and contemptible – it just didn’t elicit such a reaction.
