Less than a month after Ryan Seacrest announced he was dropping his E! Brand microphone, the network is down from another key player.
Jason Kennedy announced Monday that his stint at E! also ends after 16 years, explaining that COVID-related job changes ultimately led to his decision. Read his full announcement (via Instagram) under:
“I don’t think it’s possible to sum up 16 incredible years. I had the time of my life at E !. More recently, I loved being the host of ‘In the Room’, but COVID restrictions made it impossible to capture celebrity interviews in a more personal setting, so I decided to explore new opportunities. I leave with a grateful heart full of reflection on my experience and the lifelong friendships I have made along the way. I have a list of exciting projects that I’m really working on: hard and look forward to sharing more with you soon. Thanks for all of your support over the years, love you guys! “
Kennedy joined the E! in 2005, eventually working as an anchor for IS! News and as a host of In the room, both of which were canceled last year amid restructuring of the network.
