Helen Mirren finally gets in the driver’s seat for latest Fast & Furious 9 footage

The Fast and furious The family is back in the new Super Bowl F9 trailer. The streak teases multiple surprises, including the return of Lady Helen Mirren, who will be much faster and much more furious this time around, with the Oscar winner taking the wheel and putting the pedal to the metal.

First introduced in 2017 The fate of the furious, Mirren will once again reprise her role as Magdalene Shaw, matriarch of the Shaw clan, with the actress also appearing in the 2019 spin-off. Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw alongside action movie heavy hitters Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Jason Statham. Mirren has wanted to be a pilot from the very beginning, revealing in 2017 that she “almost fell to her knees. Not quite. But I knelt metaphorically to Vin and everyone. Vin Diesel has already revealed that Helen mirren will join the vehicular chaos in a more direct way F9, with the actor saying, “Without giving any spoilers … You know what, I’m going to give you a spoiler: Yeah, she can drive. It’s so awesome. She can drive and she can drive gracefully.”

F9 picks up with Dom Toretto of Vin Diesel who now leads a quiet life off the grid with Letty and her son, little Brian. Of course, they know that danger always lurks just above their peaceful horizon, and this time that threat will force Dom to face the sins of his past if he is to save those he loves most. The Fast and Furious family must once again join forces to stop a heartbreaking plot led by Dom’s younger brother Jakob, a deadly assassin, who works with their old foe Cipher and holds a personal vendetta against Dom.

Directed by Justin Lin, F9 stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron. in The Rock’s absence, F9 fulfilled their quota of WWE Legends by adding John Cena as Dom’s estranged brother Jakob Toretto. Fast and Furious 9 is set to be the first film in a final trilogy that will conclude the long-running franchise.
