Shadecraft: Adaptation of Lucifer’s Joe Henderson Netflix Developing Series
Netflix reportedly picked up Image Comics’ next comic Shadecraft created by Joe Henderson, co-showrunner of Lucifer, and artist Lee Garbett, according to Hollywood journalist. The comic, which will be released on March 31, is being piloted for the streamer as part of a TV deal with Henderson. Henderson is set to co-write the pilot with Georgia Lee (The extent, The 100).
Besides the co-showrunning and executive production of Netflix Lucifer, Henderson’s credits also include the adaptation of Stephen King 11/22/63 on Hulu, White collar, Almost human, and Graceland.

Shadecraft focuses on 16-year-old Zadie Lu, who in addition to dealing with regular high school issues, fears the shadows will come to life around her.
The comic follows Henderson and Garbett’s Toward the sky, which was nominated for the Eisner Prize. Sony Pictures acquired the rights to Skyward in 2018 with Brad Peyton (San Andreas, Carnage) attached to direct. Skyward takes place in a world where the Earth has lost a fraction of its gravity. 20 years later, our society has accustomed its lifestyles to the situation of gravity. Among these people is Willa Fowler, born after “G-Day”, who discovered a plot to restore gravity to its normal state. You can take the first issue of Image Comics here!
